Getting there. High speed trains and the regional S Bahn run between the airport railway station and Cologne Hauptbahnhof (central station) every 30 minutes. The fare for a single ticket is 2.10 EUR, and the journey time is 18 minutes. The number 170 bus runs to the Hauptbahnhof and Cologne city centre five times an hour. The fare is 5 EUR for a single ticket. Taxis wait outside Terminals 1 and 2, and cost about 25 EUR to central Cologne and 40 EUR to Bonn. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Situated in Cologne's Old Town, the Hotel Lyskirchen is five minutes' walk from the German Sports and Olympic Museum. The centre of Cologne can be easily explored by foot.
